Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 23,780 rising to Kshs.29, 190 Per Month
Other Allowances: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Job description
This will be the entry and training grade for Assistant Agricultural Officers’ cadre. An officer at this level will be deployed in a Division or in an Agricultural Training Centre. Duties and responsibilities will involve training and advising farmers on matters related to Crop Production, Land Development, planning and management of demonstration plots.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Agricultural Officer III – shall perform the following duties:
- Organizing and coordinating agricultural activities
- Liaise with stakeholders in implementing projects and
- Identify farmers training needs
- Collection and dissemination of agricultural information
- Organize field days, demonstrations and tours
- Mainstreaming of cross cutting issues
- Participate in the agricultural shows
- Implementation of Performance contract
- Implement work
- Prepare field
Qualifications
- Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education [KCSE] mean grade C or its equivalent; and
- A diploma in any of the following fields: Agriculture, Food Technology, Agriculture and Home Economics, Agricultural Education, Horticulture or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized
