Kenya’s fourth seed Albert Njogu is through to the third round of the second leg of ITF East Africa Junior Circuit 18 and Under taking place at the Nairobi Club.
Ngoju, who reached the final of the first leg of the similar event on Saturday at the same venue, dismissed Alexander Gammariello from Italy in straight sets of 6-4, 6-4 on Tuesday.
Njogu, the only Kenyan boy surviving, will meet Mihaly Deli from Hungary on Wednesday afternoon for a place in the quarterfinals.
The Kenyan top seed lost to Rostislav Galfinger from Kazakhstan 3-6, 6-4 and 3-6 in the first leg finals played at the same venue on Saturday.
Fifth seed Galfinger Alexander Stockbroekx from Belgium 6-1, 6-1 to reach the third round. Others players who cruised into third round include top seed Abdul Shakur Kabura from Burundi and Irania Sina Moghimi. Kabura eased past Indian Rishikrishna Ayyappan 6-2, 6-0 while Moghimi beat Taras Pakharenko from Ukraine 6-4, 6-2.
