CBK raises KSh 10.7 Billion from Weekly T-Bills Auction

The Central Bank of Kenya(CBK) accepted KSh 10.7 Billion out of the KSh 25 Billion worth of Treasury Bills at this week’s Treasury Bills Auction, a subscription rate of 52.33%.
The weekly auction received bids worth KShn 12.6 Billion with KSh 5.9 Billion competitive bids and KSh 4.7 Billion in non-competitive bids being accepted.
The interest rates for the 91, 3 months and one -year Treasury Bills was 6.273%, 6.625% and 7.607% respectively.
Next week’s Treasury Bill Auction, worth KSh 24 Billion, will close on September 3rd with successful bidders required to make their payments to CBK bu close of business on September 7th, 2020.
