Monday November 26, 2018 – Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has said that he is ready to become the Opposition Leader in the country after NASA leader, Raila Odinga, joined the Jubilee Government on March 9th.
In an interview with a local daily on Saturday, Mudavadi said though he supports the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, the country needs a vibrant opposition to question the Government.
“In a good democracy, we must have people working from outside,” Mudavadi said.
Raila and Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, are currently working with the Government.
Raila Odinga is currently an African Union Special Envoy for Infrastructure and Development and Kalonzo is Kenya’s special envoy to the South Sudan peace process.
Mudavadi said he supports Raila and Kalonzo’s new appointment but said they abandoned their opposition role.
Mudavadi’s claims come at a time deported lawyer, Miguna Miguna, has maintained that Raila was bribed with Sh 50 billion to abandon his opposition course and join the “meat eating hyenas” in Jubilee.
