Monday November 26, 2018– Cherangany MP, Joshua Kuttuny, has said that he was not ready to serve as a political puppet of some people while farmers, mostly his electorate, continue to suffer.
Speaking at Yuya Primary School in his constituency when he launched a football tournament on Saturday, Kuttuny noted that he will not even support Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 if he does not address the challenges farmers are facing.
According to Kuttuny, he will only support a Government that supports farmers irrespective of who its leader is.
“I will only support a Government and leaders that support the farmer.”
“I will not again make the mistake of blindly backing leaders who are not ready to improve the welfare of farmers,” said Kuttuny.
At the same time, the Cherangany legislator dismissed calls by Ruto telling maize farmers to shift to better paying crops such as avocado, terming them “misplaced”.
