Wednesday November 21, 2018 – Former Starehe Member of Parliament, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, could be running low on finances going by recent events around her life.
This is after her vehicle was listed among 568 cars to be auctioned for overstaying at the Mombasa port due to lack of payment to clear them.
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is planning to auction Bishop Margaret Wanjiru’s sleek Prado car which has overstayed at the Mombasa port.
In a notice to Kenyans, KRA’s Port Operations Chief Manager, Joseph Kaguru, gave the owners a 30 day notice to get the cars from the Port failure to which they will auction them.
The cars will be viewed on the 17th and 18th of December ready to be auctioned if they fail to take them.
“Notice is given that unless the goods are entered and removed from the custody of the Customs Warehouse Keeper, Kilindini within 30 days of this notice, they will be sold by public auction on 19th December, 2018,” says Mr. Kaguru.
The former Starehe MP also tried to vie for the Nairobi Governorship but was thrashed by Mike Sonko in the nomination for the Jubilee Party ticket.
