Gideon Moi has received an endorsement from over 300 KANU delegates from West Pokot, declaring him the Kingpin and Spokesperson of the Kalenjins. The delegates, while speaking from West Pokot say the KANU leader has the vision and what it takes to unite the populous region.
”We believe in the visionary leadership of our party leader Senator Gideon Moi. He has what it takes to unite us in pursuing the national agenda and supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said one of the delagates.
Last month, the Senator met Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos, Cherangani MP Joshua Kutuny, Moiben MP Silas Tiren, Tiaty MP William Kamket, and former East Africa Community Minister Musa Sirma at their Kabarak home.
The meeting with a section of Rift Valley leaders was to discuss political matters across the Rift Valley region and Kenya as a whole and finding a solution to the deadly coronavirus novel by coming up with a strategy that will help the residents of Rift Valley region overcome the pandemic that has sent the whole globe into panic
.The leaders also discussed several measures in regard to helping those affected by the ongoing floods especially those at the border of Elgeyo Marakwet and West Pokot.
