Five Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education candidates and two invigilators were arrested Monday at Maragua Muslim Girls School for sneaking mobile phones into an examination center.
The seven were arrested during the Physics paper after police officers manning the center became suspicious and upon frisking the candidates they recovered five phones.
Confirming the incident Murang’a County Commissioner John Elung’ata cautioned exam administrators against colluding with students to engage in exam irregularities.
Elung’ata said that all multi-agencies manning the examination centers are alert to detect any unauthorized activities during exams.
