Tuesday November 20, 2018 – To many Kenyans, NASA leader, Raila Odinga, is a ‘mean’ politician who rarely helps people whenever assistance is required in terms of monetary contributions.
But those close to Raila can tell you that the old man is too generous and he usually does his things off camera.
On Friday, Raila Odinga arrived at Nairobi Hospital unnoticed and cleared a bill worth Sh 20 million for patients admitted at the hospital.
“All the patients including the former Makadara MP, Mr Fred Omido, had their bills cleared. He was accompanied by Makadara MP Hon George Aladwa, who is also the ODM Nairobi boss,” confirmed an aide.
For close to one hour, Odinga interacted with patients as Mr Aladwa, who was also hospitalised in the same facility few months ago, took him round.
Raila Odinga later told his aides not to tell anybody what he did saying he helps people discreetly unlike Deputy President William Ruto who boasts a lot when helping people.
