At least 20 people are feared dead after three vehicles, two 14-seater public service vans and a lorry, crashed at Matsangoni area along the Mombasa – Malindi Highway.
The accident occurred on Saturday night, December 11.
Mombasa County Commissioner, Kutswa Olaka, confirmed the accident stating that police and emergency rescue providers were already at the scene offering first aid to the victims.

The cause of the accident and the total number of the victims is yet to be established.
Traffic marshals warned motorists to approach the accident scene with caution and use the temporary diversions created to ease traffic.
