Gor Mahia beat Tusker 2-0 as Kariobangi Sharks, Posta draw

Gor Mahia, extended their lead on top of the standings to seven points, after beating Tusker FC 2-0 in a League match played at the Machakos County Stadium.

At the Machakos County Stadium, defending Champions Gor Mahia extended their lead after seeing off Tusker FC 2-0.

The win takes their tally to 55 points, seven ahead of 2^nd placed Sofapaka, who host Mathare United on Sunday at the same venue.

Meanwhile, Kariobangi Sharks remain winless in nine matches, after registering their 3^rd consecutive draw against Posta Rangers at the Kasarani Stadium.

Four draws in the last five matches have left Kariobangi Sharks stuck in the 9^th spot on the Kenya Premier League on 34 points.

It was Sharks’ 13th draw of the season, the highest in the League this season, whereas Posta Rangers remain 15^th on 25 points after recording their 7^th draw of the season.

In other matches played Saturday; Nzoia Sugar claimed all three points in the Millers Derby by defeating Chemelil Sugar 2-1 at the Chemelil Sports Complex in an earlier match, Sony Sugar were 2-0 winners away to Western Stima at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu, while laxity in the final minutes cost KCB dearly as Kakamega Homeboyz forced a 1-1 draw to share the spoils.

Elsewhere, Gor Mahia tactician Hassan Oktay says his counterpart at the national team Sebastien Migne should consider looking Kenneth Muguna when picking his final Stars Harambee squad.

Oktay feels that Muguna is playing at a high level and would be a good asset to the Frenchman.

The midfielder was instrumental as Kogallo humbled Tusker FC 2-0 to move seven points clear at the top of the Kenya Premier League standings.
