The Kenya national football team arrived in Cairo, Egypt ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations set to kick off on Friday June 21.

After 15 years of wait Harambee Stars will once again grace the continental showpiece and have been pooled in group C alongside Algeria, Senegal and Mali.

The squad and technical bench sported navy blue designer blazers in a team photo shared on social media moments after their arrival.

The Stars concluded a three-week training programme in France before arriving in Egypt and are expected to hold a light training session on Wednesday.

Algeria forward Riyad Mahrez is confident his team is well prepared and ready to take on Kenya in their opening Group C match at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Manchester City star who featured in the Desert Foxe’s 3-2 victory over Mali in an Afcon preparation friendly, said his team would have no excuses against Harambee Stars.

Harambee stars played two friendly matches against Madagascar and DR Congo, winning 1-0 against the Barea before holding The Leopards to a 1-1 draw.

After facing Algeria, Stars meet neighbours Tanzania, and then wrap up the group stages when they face Senegal.
