Burnley vs Man City: Gabriel Jesus score brace to inspire City to victory ▷ Kenya News

– Burnley vs Man City saw Pep Guardiola’s men bounce back to winning ways

– A brilliant double from Gabriel Jesus inspired City to a 4-1 win over Sean Dyche’s men

– The Etihad outfit now sit second on the league standings with 32 points

A Gabriel Jesus brace and a goal each for Riyad Mahrez and Rodri was all Man City required to return to their blistering best against Burnley on Tuesday night, December 3, at Turf Moor.

City were desperate to return to winning ways after settling for a 2-2 draw with Newcastle last weekend to slip down on the league standings.

The Pep Guardiola-tutored side got things off a flying start in the 24th minute through Gabriel Jesus who netted the opener with a peach of a finish to ensure the visitors went into the break leading.

Upon the resumption of the second half, City continued with their dominance, with their efforts paying off in the 50th minute when Jesus doubled the advantage after benefiting from Bernado Silva’s lovely whip on the right.

New signing Rodri put the game beyond the hosts 18 minutes later as he made it 3-0 with a ferocious volley past a helpless Pope.

Mahrez went on to get his name on the score-sheet three minutes to time, before Robert Brady netting a consolation for the home side soon after.

Man City’s convincing win temporarily fired them to second on the league standings with 32 points on level with Leicester who still have a match to play.

The Foxes could reclaim the position should they register a favourable result against struggling Watford on Wednesday night, December 4, at the King Power Stadium.
