Chivas Regal and MUFC blend football, music, and whisky – KBC

 Blue Door (the club) was host to a unique signature event thid psdt weekend. If you’re a soccer fan then you’re aware of Legend Dwight Yorke. Dwight hosted the launch of Chivas Regal #AfroblendNights at Blue Door (7th-8th March), joined by Emmanuel Osinde, the Chivas brand ambassador in Kenya. The two announced the exclusive partnership between Chivas and MUFC.

It was a true blend of football, music, fashion and great whisky, as Dwight was joined by a host of celebrities, influencers, media personalities, brand representatives and Man-U fans at the star-studded signature event and viewing party. Performers included South Africa’s DJ Zinle and from Kenya: Mixmaster Lenny and Chris Kaiga.

A similar Chivas Regal #AfroblendNights Signature event was held in two other countries simultaneously and was hosted by 3 other MUFC Legends; Louis Saha in Zambia, Quinton Fortune & Wes Brown in Cameroon, all of them practicing and embodying what ‘Success is a Blend’ truly means. To launch the exclusive partnership, since November 2019, teams across these countries have hosted a series of viewing parties on game nights, where Chivas Regal provided an elevated viewing experience.

Being a champion is not just about holding a trophy, it’s a state of mind. And our brave Chivas Regal teams here in Africa have taken on a great feat in what may just be African history playing out before our very eyes. African Soccer Fans in Cameroon, Kenya & Zambia got the chance to fully experience the life of champions through the Chivas Regal team’s partnership with Manchester United Football Club (MUFC). 

Revered for its history and traditions, whisky is celebrated mostly for the craftsmanship with which it is made and the flavors that bring memorable experiences to life. Chivas Regal’s partnership with MUFC is not only the meeting of two legends, but the ignition of successful partnership and collaboration, executing a global proposition the African way.

The #AfroblendNights Signature Events allowed consumers to move to the beats of the soil, enjoy their whisky the way it’s meant to be enjoyed, celebrate their favourite team and get to meet the Manchester United legend.
