– Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus at the end of next season
– The 34-year-old was on target for the Old Lady in their defeat to Ajax in the Champions League
– Ronaldo is however said to be unhappy at the Turin based-club after their exit from the European competition
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly considering to quit Juventus before the expiration of his contract in the summer of 2022.
Ronaldo joined them from Real Madrid last August in a four-year deal valued around £105.30 million to bolster their quest to win Champions League title.
However, they were stunned by Ajax at the quarterfinals of the competition – following their 3-2 defeat on aggregate to the Dutch League side after both legs.
Ronaldo grabbed the opening goal of the game for the Old Lady in the 45th minute but his teammates failed to step up for the rest of the game.
A goal each from Donny van de Beek and Matthijs de Ligt sent the away team to the next stage of the championship as Juve’s dream of winning the title crumbled abruptly.
SunSport however reports that winning the Champions League title remains the priority for the Old Lady who are on the verge of clinching the Serie A title for the eighth consecutive time.
Be that as it may, reports from Italy claim that the future of Ronaldo in Turin is already in doubt.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve’s camp went totally silent following the result, further deteriorating Ronaldo’s relationship with the club.
The major reason they signed the 34-year-old was to bring the Champions League title back to Turin after over two decades.
