Monday December 31, 2018-Self proclaimed National Resistance Movement
(NRM) general, Miguna Miguna, has joined a group of leaders who commented on
the remarks made by former Gatanga MP, David Murathe, in regards to President
Uhuru Kenyatta’s succession in 2022.
On Wednesday last week,
Murathe who was speaking in Mbale, Vihiga County, during the Maragoli Cultural
Festival, said Mount Kenya region had no Memorandum of Understanding with
anybody regarding the 2022 Presidential election.
Kabando, said the President and his Deputy had shared power equally for two
terms and should both retire.
“If he (William Ruto) has an MoU with Uhuru Kenyatta, then that was
an agreement between two individuals,” Murathe said.
However commenting on social
media over the weekend, Miguna who is in exile in Canada ,said Murathe spoke
the truth and this is the position that Uhuru Kenyatta holds because they drink
cheap liquor and smoke bhang together.
