England and Senegal to clash in Round of 16



England will face African Champions Senegal in the last 16 on Sunday 4 December after finishing top of Group B.

Netherlands finished top of Group A and will meet the runners up in Group B the United States of America.

It will be the battle of the Lions, The Teranga Lions coming face to face with the Three Lions in what is expected to be a hot contest.

Senegal finished second in Group A after a monumental victory over Ecuador to ensure success given that the Teranga Lions dominated throughout and took full control.

Kalidou Koulibaly and Ismaila Sarr scored the goals making Senegal to qualify to the round of 16 of the the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

For the England side, Marcus Rashford netted twice while Phil Foden scored one in a routine 3-0 win against Wales.

England’s clash with Senegal is set for the Al Bayt Stadium on Sunday at 9 pm Central Time (10 pm East Africa Time).
