Despite topping the Spurs on the pitch in Wednesday’s contest as -345 favorites on the Champions League odds the Citizens failed to advance to the semi-final, with Tottenham getting the nod on the strength of away goals and a narrow 1-0 win in last week’s first-leg action.

With their Champions League title hopes dashed yet again, City can now focus on reclaiming the top of the Premier League table.

The club has tallied nine straight victories in league play to improve their win-draw-loss record to 27-2-4, but continue to trail first-place Liverpool FC by a single point, with one match in hand.

The Spurs return to Manchester pegged as lengthy +650 underdogs at online sports betting sites. Tottenham look to have turned the corner after going 1-1-4 in their previous six outings.

The Spurs have scored 10 total goals during their current 3-0-1 run and maintain a narrow one-point lead over the Blues and Arsenal FC for third spot on the league table.

However, the Spurs remain a disappointing 0-1-3 in their past four road dates with City, with their last victory at Etihad Stadium coming back in February 2016.

Elsewhere on this weekend’s Premier League odds, the Reds look to widen their lead atop the table when they visit Cardiff City on Sunday as heavy -425 betting favourites.

Liverpool has posted outright wins in eight straight across all competitions, and own a 12-5-0 record over their past 17, but continue to trail City on the Premier League championship odds at +110.

The Reds face a Cardiff side that enters Sunday’s action desperate to avoid relegation and pegged as lengthy +1100 home underdogs.

The Bluebirds posted a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday to pull within two points of the Seagulls for 17th place on the table, but have not posted a league win over Liverpool on home turf since 1953.

Also on Sunday, Arsenal host Crystal Palace as -195 chalk, while Monday’s action features the Blues playing host to Burnley FC as strong -360 betting favorites.
