FORMER GOR MAHIA OFFICIAL DEFENDS PLAYER WHO SUED TEAM – GhettoRadio 89.5 FM

In Summary

  • The club is currently serving a ban imposed on it by FiFA for failing to pay its players on time and are not allowed to register new players.

Former Gor- Mahia organizing secretary Judith Nyangi has come to the defense of Wellington Ochieng who had won a case against the team for failure to pay him his dues.

Ochieng successfully petitioned the commercial court to auction Gor Mahia’s bus in a bid to recover salary arrears.

Ochieng successfully sued Gor Mahia at the Milimani Law Courts whereby his arrears are in excess of Sh1 million.

In her Facebook page Nyangi said that foreign players are paid millions of shillings owed to them and Ochieng’s case shouldn’t be different.

“Foreigners wanakuja Gor wanapewa signing fee kubwa 3m 4m na salary 300k 250k Wetu locals signing fee 500k ya hewa.

Your contract ends without receiving a penny.Salary ni kwa paper.

Miaka za kucheza ball zinaisha kama player hana chochote.Utaona Mosh Junior akikuja hapa tuchangie player. We must stand with our players to get what is theirs.

….Wellington enda na hiyo nusu mkate!,” she exclaimed.
