German national found dead on toilet basin in River Road hotel – Kenya Satellite News Network
Over the weekend, Mr Edmund Leicht, a 64-year-old German citizen, was discovered dead on a toilet at Nairobi’s Decasa Hotel.
Workers were shocked when Mr Leicht did not wake up, stopping them from cleaning his room.
When they gained access, they discovered him sitting on the toilet, and all efforts to wake him were futile.
“She tried to wake him up in vain, she raised an alarm where the manager alerted the police who arrived and confirmed that he had died,” a police report seen by Nairobi News read in part.
The police officers who arrived on the scene verified that he had died.
Police are still investigating, but Mr Leicht’s body revealed no signs of physical injury, according to police.
Drugs used to treat high blood pressure, on the other hand, were discovered in his hands.
