I was in an abusive relationship – Kenya Satellite News Network

By Wanja Waweru

Rally driver Maxine Wahome, who is on trial for the murder of her lover Assad Khan, told the Milimani Law Courts that she was in an abusive relationship with the deceased.

Mr Khan had abused her and ordered her to leave his home, according to her lawyers, Philip Murgor, Stephen Kimarhi, and Andrew Musangi.

“When the incident occurred she (Ms Wahome) was going to pack her bags to leave Mr Khan’s house,” Murgor said.

The defence team further told the court that on the night Mr Khan was injured he had been drunk. The defence also said Mr Khan injured himself and bled profusely.

“The alcohol level in his blood was 201 and could have led to his death if he had an underlying issue,” Murgor said.
