USD|KES: KES weakened by 0.19 percent to close at 131.78 (-6.81 percent year-to-date).

GBP|KES: KES weakened by 0.57 percent to close at 162.22 (-9.26 percent year-to-date).

EUR|KES: KES weakened by 0.66 percent to close at 142.68 (-8.70 percent year-to-date).

Kenyan Stock Market

Total equity turnover rose by 82.90 percent to close at USD 5.28 MN (695.33 million shillings) compared to yesterday’s turnover of USD 2.88 million (380.17 million shillings).

NSE 20 and NASI gained 1.07 percent and 0.82 percent to close at 1,598.10 and 112.48 respectively.

Foreign investors assumed a net selling position by accounting for 34.09 percent of total market purchases and 59.22 percent of total market sales.
