Keroche Breweries Founder Tabitha Karanja Joins UDA

Keroche Breweries founder Tabitha Karanja is officially a member of Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

The renowned business magnate says that she decided to choose UDA as her political outfit ahead of the 2022 polls slated for August because she will be eyeing the Nakuru Senatorial seat, seeking to take the place of Susan Kihika, who has since declared interest in the gubernatorial race.

Karanja was in attendance at DP Ruto’s UDA rally in Nakuru County on Wednesday, January 26, when she asserted that she is an ardent supporter of UDA because their economic model marries with her vision of creating a positive space that allows for extensive economic empowerment.

“I have listened to you, and you have told me that the only vehicle I can use to represent you is UDA. I agree with you.” She said.

“To the DP, I have listened to you, and I have practiced that for the last twenty-five years, and I am a practical example of bottom-up. I ask you when you make the Cabinet, remember the problem businesses have gone through. You should know that we want a conducive environment for businesses. High taxation has brought down companies,” she added.

Further, Karanja made plain that she decided to through her hat in the ring because she is interested in improving the lives of the people of Nakuru who, for years, had to contend with political deceit and unfulfilled promises.

“I want to represent you to ensure that all the laws from above are not meant to discriminate against us. Are we together? Our job is to look for work so we can have some money in the pocket.”

She had announced her bid for Senatorship on October 2021 but said that she could have joined politics before but was busy serving as CEO of Keroche Breweries.
