KURA boss Kinoti joins President Ruto Nyanza Projects tour – Weekly Citizen


President William Ruto has reiterated the government’s commitment to fast-tract the completion of ongoing road projects to pave way for new ones .

Speaking during the Presidential launch and commissioning of various projects in Migori county, Ruto revealed plans to increase the tarmac road network across the country.

Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) director general Eng.Silas Kinoti joined the head of state during the commissioning of Senta-Nyamtiro-Isebania road(Phase)in Kuria East and Nyabohanse-Kumumwamu road in Kuria West, Migori County.

“we are expanding our road network to stimulate rapid economic growth in the country by opening up our rural areas to opportunities,” the President noted .

KURA director general Eng. Kinoti said that the Presidential launch and commissioning of various projects in the area was in line with the government’s mega infrastructural agenda.

Other leaders present were Deputy President  Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary  Musalia  Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretaries Eliud Owalo (ICT), Ezekiel Machogu (Education), MPs Mathias Robi (Kuria West), Marwa Kitayama (Kuria East), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Japheth Nyakundi (Kitutu Chache North), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem) and Sylvanus Osoro (South Mugirango), Okoth Obado (Former Migori Governor), CAS Fred Outa, Evans Kidero and Nicholas Gumbo among others.
President Ruto was in Kuria as he Winded up his three day tour of South Nyanza.
