New twist as Gatabaki denies deal with Suraya for Four Ways Junction estate

The family of a former politician Njehu Gatabaki had denied ever getting into an agreement with Suraya real estate for the development of Four Ways Junction.

The Gatabakis who claim to be the legit owners of the property said Peter and Sue Muraya have over the years used their property to swindle Kenyans using an agreement that never materialised.

According to Ms. Gathoni Gatabaki, the Four Ways Junction property, which investors have paid millions of shillings for was a hoax.

She said the family engaged a private investigator who established that Peter and Sue Muraya fraudulently acquired documentation to swindle Kenyans into believing they own the 105-acre-property.

Aggrieved investors were at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation offices on Monday to record statements against Suraya Property Limited.

They want the DCI to intervene so that they get their money back from the real estate developer or be assigned the properties they were told would be theirs.

Meanwhile, the Suraya Property Group claims that is has secured funds to complete construction of properties in question.

The Group’s Chief Executive Peter Muraya said the funds totalling to Ksh.1.6billion from four banks will be used to complete mega housing projects that had stalled for over five years.

However, one of the properties that Suraya was intending to salvage with the loan is up for auction.

The Lync Royal apartments along Kibera road is 65 percent complete but auctioneers have announced that the sale will take place on July 3 this year.
