Raila To Take To The Podium As He Holds Mega Rally At Jacaranda Stadium

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga and his team are expected to join members of the JTM Donholm church this morning before heading to Jacaranda Stadium.

Odinga is expected to arrive at the church at about eleven o’clock.

Later in the afternoon, Odinga and his allies will hold a mega rally at the historic Jacaranda grounds to address his supporters on the most pressing issues currently plaguing the nation.

On Saturday, Raila’s allies led by host lawmaker Babu Owino approved the Jacaranda stadium, saying it was ready for today’s rally.

Nairobi County Police Chief Commander Adamson Bungei said security personnel would be in the area to ensure the meeting was held peacefully without violence in accordance with the law.

This is the second gathering in a week as part of his political resistance against Ruto’s government.

Raila has claimed that Ruto did not trounce him in the August 9 polls and he therefore must resign as President.

However, Ruto was declared the winner of the closely-fought polls, narrowly beating Raila with slightly over 300, 000 votes.

The President’s troops have trained their guns on Raila whom they have accused of scheming to sabotage the economy through his planned countrywide rallies.
