Rapid Expansion Of Bliss Healthcare into EAST AFRICA – Weekly Citizen


The Kenya`s largest network of outpatient Medical Centres, Bliss Healthcare`s expansion plan was inspired by the need to serve over 5 million patients annually while providing employment to over 10,000 East Africans.

The organization incorporated in 2012, with just a few Medical Centers has enjoyed rapid growth that has seen it expand into Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

Locally, Bliss Healthcare employs about 2000 staff both directly and indirectly serving about 1 million patients annually, courtesy of 65 centres spread across 37 counties in Kenya`s urban and rural communities.

Consequently, the organization appointed Denis Ogola as its new operating officer to spearhead its regional expansion.

The new COO took over from Gabriel Njue who was promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer, in an announcement made early this year.

For starters, Bliss Healthcare began its journey with an aim of providing patient satisfaction and a goal of saving and enriching lives and has over the years developed bespoke models of healthcare that meet health-related needs of the diverse population.
