‘Ruto and I Have Come From Far,’ Uhuru Tells Kieleweke As He Rejects Their Proposal For Funding

It might seem that the differences between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are just political and not personal. Often deemed as ‘erstwhile’ allies turned foes, the enmity seems more perceived than real.

Uhuru, if the recent incidences are anything to go by, is still very much enamored to Ruto and has not forgotten that they were first buddies before co-leaders.

Gist from the corridors of power have spilled over. Ostensibly, Uhuru is said to have tore into pieces a proposal written by Kieleweke requesting him for funding of their political activities.

The outfit which has been running an anti-Ruto campaign wanted to be bankrolled so that they can roll out more activities meant to flare up their anti Ruto gospel.

The top proponents of the Kieleweke group were shocked out of their bones when the President blatantly refused to give them a dime.

“You people have no idea how far we have come with Ruto and how deep our friendship is,” he is reported to have told them.

It is reported that that marked the beginning of the laxity of the group that has since lost its oomph.
