It’s not every day you see politicians come out to reveal the teams they support in the biggest football competition in the world, the English Premier League

This mostly happens when teams are facing some of the very best in the league, and in such a case, on Sunday, October 20, Manchester United went into battle with one of its biggest rivals, Liverpool.

It was generally apparent that Liverpool was better than Manchester United and many of the later fans were not confident with how the game was going to pan out.

After the game ending in a 1-1 draw, many Man United fans were happy not to lose the game but again disappointed at not being able to fight till the end and win it after conceding in the final stages of the game.

One of those Man United fans was, Nakuru County Senator, Susah Kihika. After the game, she went on to her Facebook page to reveal how tough it was for her seeing Man United draw, after cheering through the whole game from 10,176 Kilometers away.

The former Nakuru County speaker revealed how her voice was hoarse from shouting and cheering the Old Trafford faithful as she hoped they would put the 3 points in the bag.

That was not to be as they ended taking a draw after a last-gasp equalizer from Liverpool but again for her and many Man United fans it was a good point and she hoped United could take that momentum to the next game.

“Hoarse from cheering for my Premier League Team, Man U. Had hoped for a win but will take a draw. The momentum was super. Keep fighting!,” The Senator wrote on her Facebook.

Many of the affiliated supporters replied to her post with excitement:

“Kumbe we in the same football team, great. We live to fight another day”, Joe Mash said.

“I love that spirit madam we as man united fans are still holding on”, Jayden Archie Brian said.

“Our draw against Liverpool is a win, the momentum is there back to where we used to be”, Paul Mwass said.

“The late equaliser was very very disappointing, as we prepare to celebrate against our biggest rivals. Anyway, the momentum was good if we consider the situation we are in,” Franko Bett said.

“My voice is hoarse too, I even hugged a stranger. It was a good game”, Kavi Karuga said.

Just a few months past, Susan Kihika was mistakenly roughed up by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s aide after she attended the unveiling of a county assembly office complex.
