Top Gospel Singer Ilagosa Who Died of Poisoning Knew of Plot to Kill Him

The gospel industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of popular musician Ilagosa Wa Ilagosa.

The worshipper passed away on Friday after days of fighting for his life at the St Mary’s Hospital in Lang’ata, Nairobi.

Close friends have disclosed that the gospel artist, who is well known for his Sala Zangu hit song, died of food poisoning.

Multiple reports indicate that his kidneys collapsed before breathing his last.

In a video that has traveled quickly online, the singer is seen and heard scolding a person, whom he claimed wanted to poison him. The clip was ostensibly recorded when the first attempt to eliminate him was made.

“They are trying to finish me so that I don’t preach the word of God. A whole adult poisons me and then goes ahead to stand on the altar to praise? I am a seed of God and I will praise his name. A son of Vihiga County you cannot finish me and I cannot die. Thank you very much,” he said.

This statement, to some extent, supports claims that he was poisoned in a church.

His friends and fans have paid glowing tributes, describing him as a true man of God and a dependable brother to many.

Pastor T Mwangi wrote: “Rest with the angels as we wait for the trumpet. I remember you were a great blessing in a crusade in Limuru. Truly a voice has rested.”

Hezron Marwa mourned: “RIP man of God, brother Ilagosa Wa Ilagosa. The doctor confirmed you were poisoned (crying emojis). With a great shock, I accept the saddening message that you are gone.”

Venna Ubbaga said: “It is hard to accept you are no more. Just a few months ago you blessed us with great encouragement through your beautiful songs. It hurts so much.”
