Unlike Omosh, This Girl Begged For Help on Jalang’o Show, Turned Her Life Around – LitKenya

This a story of two people who used the same platform to air plight, but today their lives are worlds apart.

When she appeared for Bonga Na Jalas show on Jalang’o YouTube show in December 2020, Mercy Atis had lost hope in life, but throughout the interview, she smiled through her pain.

On 16th February 2021, former Citizen TV’s Tahidi High actor Peter Kamau Kinuthia alias Omosh appeared on the same show dejected.

Popular comedian Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o’s fans were touched by the stories and contributed hundreds of thousands of shillings to help them recollect their lives.

Fast forward, Atis owns her own business and is an employer while Omosh is back to begging.

While it understood that Omosh got more money from the online support than Atis, the latter invested what she received.

Recently, Jalang’o visited the young woman and she was shocked to see that she opened a multi-purpose restaurant.

Currently, the restaurant sells fish and drinks, but Atis is planning to introduce new delicacies as well as other services like entertainment.

Also, she is packaging bottled water under her own brand.

“I’m very grateful to you (Jalang’o) and your fans. The money you gave me has changed my life completely,” she said.

Contrastingly, Omosh has finished the finances he received and now wants Kenyans to contribute more.

He says that the initial donations were used to pays debts.
