Viral Whistling TikToker Begs Maina Kageni to Send Bus Fare in Hilarious Video

These days it’s pretty easy to become popular, thanks to the easy-to-use and accessible social media platforms.

Perhaps if TikTok never existed today, not many Kenyans would have come to know Priscilla Waimani.

Waimani is a mother of three, who has become an internet darling because of her whistling talent. Just whistling and boom, she’s talk of the internet.

In her latest video, Waimani has tickled Kenyans after asking famous radio personality Maina Kageni to send her bus fare.

“Maina Kageni, Maina… Classic 105, I’m stranded in Nyamakima, send me some bus fare,” she shouted as people watched in astonishment.

She usually starts her videos with a whistle, then announces where is at and then ends with another whistle.

Most of her content tells the location she is whistling from. The background is often filled with shocked and amused Kenyans, but that is the least of her worries.

According to the viral TikToker, she discovered her whistling abilities – some call it madness – through her children, who encouraged her to open a TikTok account and just be herself.

She grabbed the challenge and started uploading videos after being told that TikTok sensation Azziad Nasenya simply danced her way to the people’s hearts and exploded.

So far, so good. Some brands have recognized her whistling, with a popular tours and travel company sponsoring a fully-paid trip to the Coast for her.

Waimani is from Nakuru but travels a lot in the neighboring counties like Nairobi and Kiambu for business.

She says her whistling has been a blessing in her business because she is able to hook customers by shouting about what she is selling and whistling to invite their attention.

Away from whistling and business, she is a Kikuyu musician.
