Western governors lobby for KURA projects – Weekly Citizen

Elected political leaders from Western region have embarked on an intensive lobbying for better roads in their respective areas.

Busia governor Dr. Paul Otuoma and Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala today (Wednesday) paid a courtesy call to Kenya Urban Roads Authority director general Eng. Silas Kinoti.

Busia County is expecting National Govt support in developing road infrastructure in the border town.

The meeting hosted at KURA’s Barbara plaza headquarters came barely a day after Vihiga governor Dr. Wilber Ottichilo hosted KURA Western region team led by Eng.Mike Ngumbi.
The team inspected several road projects within Western Region that the Authority is implementing.

Kinoti reteriated the  agency’s commitment to facelift urban centers across the entire country  as an enabling role for other economic activities to thrive.

Since its inception, KURA has executed its vision in delivering a safe and efficient urban road transport infrastructure through construction, rehabilitation and provision of new roads, interchanges, bridges, pedestrian walkways among others.
