Chiki Onwukwe was a blushing bride on Friday when she together with her groom celebrated their union at a mystery location in Lavington.

The invites only event was attended by friends and family of the couple. They totalled 200.

Chiki and Sauti Sol’s lead vocalist Bien Aime Baraza ensured that their guests were not distracted and only focused on them and the ongoing festivity.

To enforce this, the guests went to the event without their phones. The guests also dressed in their best African print outfits.

“It was easy and looked more like a celebration. Nobody was allowed to have phones in the venue as they wanted everyone to be part of the wedding and not to divert their minds by snapping videos on their gadgets,” the source said.

The master of ceremony for the event was Chikii’s BFF Tallia Oyando.

Most times, the role of a wedding MC is usually left to men. But Tallia aced this role like a bauuuussss.

Before the wedding, Chiki spent a day pampering herself together with her girls.

Tallia and I have been friends for 4 years now, and she is the very definition of ride or die, one phone call and without question, she is there. She is loyal, solid and celebrates my craziness. I love you mama so much. We have already got into so much trouble together, here is to much more!”
