The government has announced 1,000 paid internship opportunities for graduates to support digital learning in schools across the country.
The vacancies, advertised by the Public Service Commission (PSC), are available under Cohort 5 of the Digital Literacy Programme administered through the State Department for Basic Education.
Successful applicants will be deployed to schools at the sub-county level for 12 months, where they will support virtual learning and other digital education programmes. The internship is non-renewable, and successful candidates will receive a government-determined stipend.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must have graduated in 2022 or later and possess either a Bachelor’s degree in Education with an ICT specialisation, a Bachelor’s degree in ICT, or a diploma in ICT or ICT integration in education from a recognised institution.
Candidates should also have knowledge in areas such as networking and infrastructure, information security, application development and project management.
They must be able to integrate technology into teaching and learning and be willing to work full-time at any sub-county education office where they are deployed.
Applicants who have previously benefited from a similar internship programme will not be eligible.
Interns will support teachers in using digital learning devices, assist with e-learning and content development and provide first-line support and maintenance for ICT services in schools.
They will also help teachers integrate technology into teaching, learning and assessment while promoting the safe and responsible use of digital tools.
The programme is intended to give young graduates practical workplace experience while strengthening implementation of the government's Digital Literacy Programme.
Interested candidates have until October 5, 2026, to submit their applications through the Public Service Commission recruitment portal.
Interns who successfully complete the programme will receive certificates from the State Department for Basic Education.
