Betty joined K24 on September 20, 2018, several months after she exited from KTN.

Betty joined Media Max at a time when the company had lost several staffs including Richard Kagoe who was the Primetime news Anchor, Mitchelle Morgan, among others

through her post, she wrote-

“I really appreciate you all. It is now time for me to say goodbye here on K24 TV. Thank you so much for all the support, I appreciate you, God bless you and I love you,” she wrote on Saturday after her last TV show.

Ever since Coronavirus hit the country and the economy of the country began struggling, Media max was not spared either.

The company announced a 20% and 50 % pay cut to its staff to enable the company to survive in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.

Betty was not spared from the pay cut and moved to the court to halt the process with Mzee Jalas of Radio Maisha.

However, Betty seems to have gotten greener pastures as she recently opened her YouTube channel which is growing so fast.

The channel has over 27,000 subscribers after it was launched on May 17th.

Majority of Kenyan celebrities have taken advantage of their popular names to open YouTube channels where they get a huge following.

Through the huge following, they are able to attract adverts where most companies prefer celebrity advertising to other types of adverts.

In her exit message, Mutei announced to her followers that she was set to do major projects on her YouTube channel and told fans to find her there.
