KenGen MD & CEO Rebecca Miano celebrates two years in style

Exactly two years ago today, KenGen appointed Rebecca Miano as the Managing Director and CEO, making her the first female CEO since the company inception in 1954. Rebecca Miano holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Univesrity of Nairobi. She also holds a Masters of Law in Comparative Law awarded by the University of Australia. In 1998 she joined KenGen as a senior legal officer. Over time she rose in rank to become assistant company secretary. Prior to her appointement as the first female chief executive in August 2017 she served as the Director of Legal Affairs and Company Secretary at KenGen. one of her mantra is that: " she has never deemed gender as an obstacle to what she has set out to achieve as leadership knows no gender"
