Apple launched its new Gen of small tablets yesterday, a version that benefits from the designs & performance of the iPad Air.

For more than two years, the iPad mini had not received any security updates. Thus apple took advantage of its traditional September keynote to present an upgraded version of its small tablet.

A solid iPad Air

The 2021 versions of this iPad mini use much smaller dimensions. It improves the flat parts of the last and its Touch ID button that vanishes from the front to drift to the ignition button on the upper part.

The iPad mini has been enhanced with a Liquid  Retina display of 8.3 inches screen size with P3 color space plus 500 nits of brightness. Four colors are available for this version thus space grey, Starlight, Pink and mauve

It also supports the second Gen of Apple Pencil and provides a magnetic area to take it with you and charge it. Compared to the previous model, this new iPad mini transfer files ten times faster using a USB-C cable.

In terms of its specs, the firm used its latest chip, the A15 Bionic that can also be seen in the iPhone 13. In terms of its performance, the firm says this iPad mini has a 40 percent increase for its CPU and an 80 percent rise towards the GPU part.

The photography part also takes advantage of the “update” seen in the 12MP ultra wide-angle sensors at the front and a new feature called “Centered Frame” that automatically lets you focus the camera on the object, for example, during a zoom call. The rear sensor utilizes a 12MP sensor & trueTone flash just beside it.

The Cost of the iPad mini.

The iPad mini has already been available for preorder since it was launched, and deliveries will start from September 24th.Here is a summary of its prices: iPad mini Wi-Fi + 5G 256GB: 899€, iPad mini Wi-Fi 64GB Wi-Fi + 5G : 729 € and iPad mini Wi-Fi 64GB Wi-Fi: 559 €
