- Babu Owino was very critical of the healthcare system in the country
- This was following the death of Evelyn Namukhula and two of her babies
- Namukhula was referred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital after giving birth in Eldoret from Kakamega
- Two of her five children she delivered in March 2019 also passed away
- The Embakasi East MP has now committed to lend a helping hand to Namukhula's family
Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has vowed to personally take care of the children left behind by the late Evelyn Namukhula, who won hearts after giving birth to five babies at once.
Following Namukhula’s untimely death, Babu Owino joined Kenyans in mourning the remarkable woman as he faulted the country’s health system.
According to staff from the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret, Namukhula passed away on Sunday, April 7 hours after complaining of chest pain.
Prior to that, it also emerged that two boys out of the quintuplets she delivered in March passed away.
It marked a tragic ending to an otherwise remarkable story of a mother who, prior to her death, had delivered a total of nine children.
