The Kenya Union of Clinical Officers has issued another strike notice citing failure to address unfavorable terms of service for its members.
While issuing the notice Thursday morning in Nairobi, the union chair Peterson Wachira disclosed that the clinical officers will down their tools if their grievances fall on deaf ears.
The union announced a 14-day ultimatum even as it lamented inhuman treatment allegedly meted out on interns holding diploma certificates including lack of payment.
“Clinical Officers Interns must be paid. The end of blame games should stop. We are together on this” said Wachira.

Wachira says the union doesn’t understand why this is the case considering increased allocations to the ministry of health under the presidential internship program.
