The Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives on Wednesday evening arrested five suspects of robbery with violence in Mombasa.
According to DCI, the arrests followed an intelligence report received after a series of robberies and burglaries within Shelly Beach and Majengo Mpya.
During the operation, the sleuths recovered military attire and other assorted items belonging to various complainants.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court later Thursday.

The five suspects are: Brian Oyare, George Okoth alias Musede, Robert Okoth, Mohamed Ali Hamisi and Rashid Juma.
Elsewhere, DCI detectives on Wednesday evening arrested 34-year-old Mathias Kangoti Murayi in Pangani, Nairobi for being in possession of Narcotic drugs.
DCI said on its twitter handle that the suspect was found carrying several grams of cocaine, heroin and methcathinone concealed in an icebox.
