Whatsapp has evolved into a primary mode of communication. While the platform is dependable and simple to use on iOS and Android, transferring data between platforms is time-consuming. However, there are several ways to transfer WhatsApp data using third-party apps.

Furthermore, WhatsApp recently introduced an official method, but it only allows data transfer from Android to iPhone and not vice versa! Let’s take a look at these methods.

How to Freely Transfer WhatsApp Messages from Android to iPhone

When it comes to transferring chat history from Android to iPhone, WhatsApp offers a dependable solution.

Please keep in mind that this method sends the entire chat history to another mailbox that can be accessed via iPhone. It does not transfer chats to the iPhone’s WhatsApp.

  • Open WhatsApp on your Android device.
  • Select Settings from the three dots at the top right.
  • Tap Chats under this.
  • Select Chat history.
  • Select Export Chat.
  • Select the contact whose chat you want to move.
  • Please keep in mind that you can only select one contact at a time. Repeat steps for each contact if you want to transfer their chats.
  • Select either Without Media or Include Media.
  • Now, select Gmail and transfer the chat history to the email address of your choice.
  • Then, on your iPhone, open the inbox for that email address.

That’s all! You can now view your entire chat history on your iPhone.

Using Restore Social App, you can transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone.

There is no official way to move WhatsApp conversations from Android to iPhone or vice versa. However, dr.fone provides an efficient and reliable technique to do that.

  • On Mac, open the dr.fone app and select Restore Social App.
  • In the left sidebar, click the WhatsApp icon.
  • Click Transfer WhatsApp Messages here.
  • Connect your iPhone and Android devices to your Mac.
  • When the app detects both, one will be marked as a source and the other as a destination.
  • By clicking Flip, you can change it to suit your needs.
  • When you’re finished, click Transfer in the bottom right corner.
  • To confirm, click Yes on the pop-up that appears.
  • Please keep in mind that the transfer process will then delete all messages from the destination device.
  • The transfer will begin after you click Yes.
  • When you’re done, open WhatsApp on the device to which the chats were sent and tap Restore in the pop-up.

That’s all! The conversations will be moved from one device to another.

Transfer WhatsApp data from iPhone to Samsung devices for free.

WhatsApp recently released an official method for transferring all of your Whatsapp data from iPhone to Android. However, the feature is currently only available on Samsung devices.

WhatsApp says it will soon expand the feature to other Android devices, as well as allow users to transfer data from Android to iPhone.

You will need the following items to transfer data from an iPhone to a Samsung device:

A USB-C to Lightning cable (or equivalent adapters depending on the type of port on the Samsung device) and the Samsung SmartSwitch app version 3.7.22.1 or later.

Except for the call history and display name, the process will allow for the entire data transfer.

  • Using the cable, connect the Samsung phone to the iPhone.
  • In the SmartSwitch app, follow the on-screen instructions.
  • On the Samsung phone, a QR code will be generated.
  • Scan the QR code with your iPhone’s camera.
  • On the iPhone, press the Start button and wait for the process to complete.
  • Now, open WhatsApp on the Samsung phone and sign in with the same phone number that you used on the iPhone.
  • When prompted, select Import. Wait for the process to finish.

That’s all! On the Samsung phone, all data will now be visible in WhatsApp.

So, those are some methods for transferring WhatsApp data across platforms. We can’t wait for WhatsApp to officially launch a way for all devices to make the process seamless.
