KBC bags Kituo Halisi Award at Kalasha

Information communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru has pledged government support to the film industry through building movie theaters in all the 47 counties, and production of a blockbuster movie to be aired all over the world.

The CS said this during the 8th edition of the Kalasha film and TV award gala night on Saturday.

The event saw the Kenya broadcasting corporation bag the Kituo Halisi Award under the special category for compliance to the communication principals.

The 2018 Kalasha film and TV awards brought together stakeholders in the film and TV industry.

Among the nominees was the drama series stringed that airs on KBC.

Information communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru who graced the event, pledged government support to the industry to tap in the many local talents.

Kalasha award is an initiative of the Kenya Film commission that seeks to recognize talent in different facets of film and TV industry.

Meanwhile, Nosim fm which is a KBC affiliate radio station in collaboration with glorious church organized a powerful prayer event dubbed “sifa night” in Isinya, Kajiado county.

The event brought together worshippers drawn from as far as Tanzania, and was graced by various leaders including Kajiado county deputy governor Martin Moshisho and the county’s business Cabinet Secretary Jackline Koi.
