DAILY POST: Kenyans are ready to butcher corrupt people in the streets because UHURU and MARAGA have failed terribly – ATWOLI warns 07:26 Wednesday February 27, 2019-Central Organisation of Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General, Francis Atwoli, has said Kenyans are ready to hunt down corrupt individuals because the government has failed to arrest them.
Speaking on Wednesday during the 30th anniversary of the Pan-African Unions Trade in Nairobi, Atwoli said Kenyans are tired of high level of corruption in the government and urged President Uhuru Kenyatta must do something before things get out of hand. He said workers will take matters into their own hands if people accused of corruption are left to roam free. “If some of them will not be put in jail, I can tell you, your Excellency, that citizens are going to take action," Atwoli said.  However, Atwoli said COTU supports the ongoing corruption purge but urged the Judiciary to move with speed and send these thugs to jail. “I want to tell the President of this country that workers are behind him in the fight against graft. I want also to tell Judiciary that Kenyans want to see convictions and not useless orders issued by some corrupt judges and magistrates,” Atwoli said.
