LUHYAS have not gotten anything in the handshake, RAILA ODINGA betrayed us like Judas Iscariot– KHALWALE says

Sunday November 25, 2018-Former Kakamega Senator, Boni Khalwale, has said the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga,on March 9 did not help the Luhya community.


 In an exclusive interview with one of the local daily on Saturday, Khalwale said infact Raila Odinga betrayed the Luhya community by not consulting their leaders before having a handshake with Uhuru Kenyatta.

 Khalwale said Luhya community has been loyal to Raila Odinga  for two consecutive elections and wondered why  Raila Odinga is demeaning Luhya  leaders like Amani National Congress(ANC) party leader , Musalia Mudavadi and his  Ford Kenya counterpart , Moses Wetangula.

 Khalwale said during the 2022 presidential election, the Luhya community will vote wisely so that they can enjoy the fruits of being in the government like Raila Odinga.

“The Luhya community needs to look elsewhere for political guidance because their 15 years’ support for Mr Odinga bore no fruit,” Khalwale said.
