Nairobi Commuter Train Resumes Normal Schedule

Kenya Railways has announced that the Nairobi Commuter train will, from Monday 15th June, resume its normal schedules, following extension of curfew hours from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The trains shall run in accordance to the following schedule:

Route Departure Time Arrival Time
Kikuyu – Nairobi 06:00 07:35
Ruiru – Nairobi 06:10 07:45
Syokimau – Nairobi 06:30 07:15
Embakasi – Nairobi 07:05 07:55
Nairobi – Kahawa 08:00 08:50
Kahawa – Nairobi 09:00 10:15
Morning Commuter Trains
Route Departure Time Arrival Time
Nairobi – Kikuyu 17:35 19:10
Nairobi – Ruiru 17:40 19:15
Nairobi – Syokimau 17:30 18:15
Nairobi – Embakasi 18:05 18:55
Evening Commuter Trains

In March, after the introduction of the curfew at 7 p.m., Kenya Railways had altered the schedule as follows:

Nairobi – Ruiru 16:20 17:55
Nairobi – Syokimau 17:00 17:50
Nairobi – Embakasi 17:20 18:10
