Algeria were crowned champions of Africa after they defeated Senegal to lift their second ever Africa Cup of Nations title after 29 years of wait on Friday, July 19.
Algeria head coach Djamel Belmadi and his men excited Algeria fans, who had amassed at the Cairo International Stadium to cheer their country onto victory in Egypt.
After the Lions of Teranga defeat by the North Africans, Africans shared their mixed reactions over the victory.
Some felt that Sengal was the better team of the night and truly deserved the win had the cunning Foxes not outwitted Aliou Cisse's men.
While others were simply impressed at how Belmadi had formed such a compact squad and celebrated the Algeria's hard fought victory.
Algeria were on a class of their own in Egypt, having scored 13 goals and only conceding 2 goals throughout their AFCON campaign.
The North Africans breezed through the group C unblemished scoring six goals unblemished against all their opponents, including Senegal who they beat 1-0.
