The TECNO Camon 18 Series is expected to be launched soon in the African market. TECNO already said it will be the first smartphone to bring the Helio G96 chipset to the continent, so on that front we are already sure of the processor.
Recent leaks have suggested that the Camon 18 PRO will also feature a 60X Zoom camera thanks to having a periscope lens. And we’ve seen the same feature on the Infinix Zero X PRO. Given these two are both from Transsion, we can expect a huge crossover of specs between the new Camon 18 Series and the Zero X Series.
Over the recent years, TECNO slowly made their Camon Series their flagship series bringing it at par with the Infinix’s Zero series. The Phantom series was this year spun off as a sub-brand.
As we saw with the Camon 16 Premier and the Zero 8 series, they were the same devices with slight variations. That will be the case with the Camon 18 and the already launched Zero X Pro.
The differences we can expect between the Camon 18 Pro and the Zero X Pro will be in the following sectors:
Processors – Camon 18 will have the new Helio G96 while Zero X Pro sticks with the Helio G95
Design – there will be slight alterations to have the devices look a little different.
Cameras – there may be a different main lens on the Camon 18. Or they may as well use the 108MP lens
Battery and fast charging – both previous generation of devices had 33W fast charging, maybe both will have 45W, or only the Inifnix gets that this time round.
