Treasury CS to deliver FY 2022/23 budget statement to MPs on April 7

NAIROBI, Kenya March 3-The National Treasury CS Ukur Yatani is set to deliver the budget statement for the 2022/23 financial year to Parliament on April 7.

According to a statement from Treasury PS Julius Muia, the Cabinet Secretary is calling for contributions and ideas on policy and tax measures from Kenyans for the FY 2022/23bBudget.

“Your proposals should be centered on areas that will enhance economic resilience and accelerate economic recovery, improve livelihoods, cushion vulnerable citizens and generate more employment opportunities for Kenyans among others,” the statement read.

Other areas for proposals include suggestions on how to fast track implementation of Government priority
programmes under the “Big Four” Agenda, how to integrate the youth and women into accelerating sustainable economic recovery, and ways to enhance revenue mobilization among others.

The views should be shared by March 22 for consideration.
