Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Victor Wanyama has insisted he wants to remain with the London club amid departure reports.
Wanyama has been linked with a move away from Spurs following the arrival of France international Tanguay Ndombele from Lyon.
Aston Villa, Southampton and Leicester City are some of the clubs said to be interested in Wanyama but the midfielder insists he intends to remain with the London outfit.
"I will be back in training with Spurs next week. I do not want to dwell much on speculations because it’s normal for a player to be linked with other clubs when the transfer window is open but I’m not going anywhere,” the Harambee Stars captain declared.
Wanyama further stated that he intends to honour his Spurs contract as he targets to remain with Mauricio Pochetino's side.
“I have not spoken to any other team because my aim is to remain at Spurs and to help my team next season. I have a running contract with Tottenham which I intend to honour, " he added.
